We were meeting friends for lunch. Can you just imagine my sheer delight in reviewing the special menu at Ashland Café and finding a Lamb Shank with mashed potatoes for $14.99? I could hardly wait to order it. Becca, our server, came right over and took our drink orders. She gave the rest of our party time to decide what they wanted to order. I already knew. What is so nice about Ashland is that you can order breakfast any time. My husband had the Creamed Chipped Beef over the potatoes with rye toast on the side, with coffee. I had the Lamb Shank, that was a huge shank that was very meaty in a delectable sauce with creamy mashed potatoes. Our friends ordered the John's Gyro Sandwich (which had grilled beef and lamb meat, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, tzatziki sauce on pita) with French fries and a short stack of pancakes with sausages. I am so sorry to say that we were all so hungry that we forgot to take pictures. Everything was so good.

The food is good and service is good. Ambiance is good, too, especially for more senior adults. Open mike on Thursday nights is well done.

First time here. Went to see my uncles band play. They offer reservations which were easy to make, it was confusing when arriving there was not a host stand and we asked a server but he didn't know, then the bartender and finally someone found our table. We ordered our food. I had ordered soup and calamari and crab cake We didn't get our appetizer before our meal nor my soup. Had to ask for them. Drinks were ok. It was a good time seeing the band and everyone dancing.

Check out the recently renovated Ashland Café ! Wonderful owners and staff are like family. Great food, large portions and good prices. We are so happy for them! Come in and have breakfast, lunch or dinner. You will not be disappointed. They have been great to us over the years with out Friday night group.

Wondering if I walked in to the same place I've enjoyed all these years. It is! They shut down for a weeks worth of reno to bring the main dining room into the 2020's. New flooring, tables and chairs, countertops and some pretty nifty woodwork. Pretty amazing! And a shock as we're so used to the dive ambiance of the last several centuries. And the food remains excellent. Jamie was our server and she was very polite, efficient and professional. Way to go, Ashland! See you soon!

This is really a mom and pop cafe! What keeps me coming back is the customers service, good food and quick Serivce. Everyone is always very nice and they come to get your order quickly. I have only been for a quick breakfast and lunch. Everything is always delicious and for a great value! The customer service is really why I keep coming back as well. I would like to try them out for dinner or one of the concerts they offer at times. I didn't give them a five because I do think the atmosphere could use a little facelift and brightening but overall a place I will continue to go!
